Meet Dr. Marks
Harold S. Marks, D.D.S., M.Sc.D., Emeritus
Dr. Marks is a born and raised “Baltimorean.” After earning his B.A. degree at McDaniel College, he graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He then attended the postgraduate Pediatric Dental Program at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry where he earned two postgraduate degrees in Pediatric Dentistry. He was awarded a C.A.G.S. (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study), and an M.Sc.D. (Master of Science in Dentisty) after completing his thesis on child behavior, which was later published in the ASDC Journal of Dentistry for Children (1978 Jul-Aug:45 (4):306-0) as “The Genesis of Fear and Anxiety in Young Dental Patients.”
After his training at Boston University, he served for three years as the chief of Pediatric Dental Service, 90th Medical Detachment, 5th General Hospital, in Stuttgart, Germany. Following his honorable discharge from the US Army, he became Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
While Dr. Marks will remain Emeritus to Crossroads Pediatric Dentistry, as both founder and advisor, Dr. Barry has taken over the reins of the practice.
